TKDWN is the public-facing home of MAT Magazine. We cover high school wrestling the way we'd want it covered: with attention, attitude, and absolutely no press-release voice.
Founder
Jesse.
The founder and editor and everything of TKDWN Media and MAT Magazine. I got 4 passions, food, fragrances, 90s east coast rap music, and wrestling. Started MAT Magazine because the existing options either treated wrestling like a niche curiosity or like a press conference. Neither was working.
When he's not at a tournament, he's working on the next issue. When he is at a tournament, he's the one in the back row with the laptop open, smelling like Eau Duelle, and rockin the flyest gear.
Mission.
Cover wrestling the way the sport deserves. Treat the athletes like people, not bracket fillers. Make the design feel like the issue you actually want to read. And keep it independent — no governing body, no federation press office, no rights deals dictating who gets a feature.
